Terms and Conditions - TSB Pick and Protect Cancellation Fee Refund
1.1 You must be:
a. a new TSB Pick and Protect home insurance customer; and
b. a UK resident (not available to customers in the Channel Islands)
1.2. Your new policy with TSB Pick and Protect home insurance must be for buildings, contents or combined buildings and contents insurance
1.3 If you had a separate buildings and contents insurance policy, and take out a new TSB Pick and Protect policy for both buildings and contents, we will pay the cancellation fee for each of your policies, if the total cancellation fee is under £100.
2. Cancellation fee refund amount
2.1 The maximum cancellation fee refund we will pay is £100. We will only refund you for your cancellation fee charge - we are not able to refund any 'Time on Risk' premiums that you may have to pay. A 'Time on Risk' premium is when you may have to pay your existing provider for part of the month, if the payment date is different to the end date of your old policy. This will usually be shown on the closure statement you receive from your existing insurer as 'Time on Risk' premium.
3.1 You must get a quote for a TSB Pick and Protect home insurance policy via the Pick and Protect website, a TSB branch or by telephone between 26 June 2017 and 31 December 2018 inclusive.
3.2 You must take out the policy within 90 calendar days of the quote (or 180 calendar days if your quote relates to a mortgage you’re taking out with us).
3.3 You will not receive the cancellation fee refund if: you amend your quote after 31 December 2018 but before you take out the policy; you cancel your Pick and Protect home insurance policy within 90 days of the start date; or we are forced to close or to cancel your Pick and Protect policy for reasons such as non-disclosure or fraud.
4. Making a claim for the cancellation fee refund
4.1 We must receive your claim for the cancellation fee refund within 90 days of your TSB Pick and Protect home insurance start date. If you make a claim after this date, you won't receive a cancellation fee refund.
4.2 You must submit your claim for the cancellation fee refund by filling in the online form at tsbinsuranceswitch.co.uk or posting a copy of the "Cancellation fee claim form" to us at Freepost TSB CANCELLATION FEE REFUND along with proof of cancellation.
4.3 You must submit proof of cancellation of your previous home insurance policy with the claim form. If you had separate buildings and contents policies you will need to provide proof of both to get the full refund up to £100.
This must clearly show:
a. Your full name
b. Provider's name
c. Cancellation fee
Proof of cancellation documentation will not be returned to you. If your name on your proof of cancellation documentation doesn't match the name on your TSB Pick and Protect home insurance policy, the cancellation fee refund won't be paid.
4.4 You can choose whether you receive the cancellation fee refund by cheque or have the refund paid directly into your nominated account.
4.5 The cancellation fee refund will be sent to you within 14 working days of receipt of your valid claim form and proof of cancellation.
5. Other conditions
5.1 TSB can remove or vary this offer at any time without prior notice and we will give you 28 days notice.
5.2 The promoter of this offer is TSB Bank plc and it is administered and managed by The Marketing Lounge Partnership, The Stables, Home Farm, Mere, Cheshire, WA16 0PX on behalf of TSB Bank plc.
